Piper smiled and made to run towards him, utter joy fulling her face and making it look once again like the beautiful wolf she had once been. A laugh was on her lips and the words, oh Garron i love gou filled her heart.....

When Scar stepped out.

His brilliant powerful white form gleaming in the moonlight. His fangs barred in a ruthless snarl. He placed his paw on Piper's tail and she sat down hard on her rump, a whine of shock and fear filling her throat. "Scar! What..."

Scar snapped at her "be silent! You have caused enough trouble tonight little sister! I have come to end this disaster!" He fixed his icy eyes on Garron. Pipertried to rise but he pushed her down again.

"Run, Garron! " she scramed, tears if fear streaming from her eyes. "Just go! Please!!!"

Garron felt adrenaline surge through his blood when he heard Scar's voice split the silence. He whirled around to face them; when he saw Scar's face, something he'd never felt bubbled up from deep within his soul...

Hatred.

He knew he'd probably lose in a fight against Scar... but he had to protect Piper. Just when we'd nearly gotten away from him... Now that they'd been caught, it was his only option. He'd kill Piper after this, too, no doubt...

A throat ripping snarl ripped across his face, and his blue eyes blazed. "Leave her alone!" he howled, and he lunged for Scar in a flurry of snapping jaws...

Scar simply stood there, almost calmly. His scarred form towering over Piper and his eyes burning into Garron's,,,begging him to try it.

As Garron lept at him, he waited until the last second before swatting him away with his huge paws as if he was no more than a pup. An evil chuckle arose from deep within his chest as he stepped over Piper and crept towards Garron.

Piper screamed but her muscles were frozen to the spot. No...not now! Don't let me freeze up now! she begged Lupus. "Scar, you promised!" she choked out.

He stopped and looked back at her, is icy eyes like fire, "Yes. But I don't keep the promises of traitors. You have betrayed your pack, Piper. You were just going to up and leave it for this!" he motioned with a disgusted flick of the tail to Garron. "Never the less..." his tone softened. "You're still my sister no matter what you've done. I'm not going to hurt him. At least...only enough to drive him away from you forever. Look what he has done, Piper! He made you into this sniveling wreck." he spat. "I only ever tried to help you be a better wolf...but you pushed away my help because you couldn't get past HIM!!! I always told you he wasn't good company. Mind this....he attacked first."

Turning back to Garron he rose to his full height and snapped his teeth together threateningly. "I Made it very clear you were not to see my sister again, you dear-heart. Now here you are stealing her mind and heart away...making her leave and betray her pack! Oh, very gentlemanly of you! Now...the damage is done....I doubt Zero will let her stay and we will be bereft of a pack! You better run while you have the chance, Garron...." he narrowed his eyes until they were slits.

"I have a feeling that with no pack and no sister...nothing is going to hold me back."

"If you thought I was gonna run, you've got another thing coming." Garron's voice was cold and calm. His hackles rose and his eyes blazed like a wildfire. "I have something to lose, and that will drive me to making sure you learn your lesson to stay away from us." As much as he wanted to kill Scar, he wouldn't, simply because he was Piper's brother and only living kin.

Garron crouched down and narrowed his eyes to blazing blue slits. With a roar fiercer than a blizzard's gale, he lunged for him at blinding speed.

Scar snarled and lept to the side as Garron lunged for him. Piper was right behind him and took the force of the blow. Scar turned and swiped a paw at Garron.
Piper didn't know what to do. She stood up next to Garron, fear and uncertainty filled her eyes. This is what she had been afraid off....It had come to this....
"Please! Please don't fight!" she begged, but her voice was so small it was drowned out by the growls of Scar and Garron.
Garron landed and whirled around on a dime. He snapped his jaws at Scar's tail and yanked back.

Scar roared and swiped a paw at him, which missed by a fraction of an inch. He pushed his back foot onto Garrons chest and pulled away. "I told you to leave while you had the chance!"

Piper watched in growing horror. He didn't know what to do...she had to stop this!
She rose unsteadily to her feet and circled the fight, calling out to them, begging it to stop.

"And if I thought I was, guess what?" Garron spat. He snapped his jaws onto Scar's paw and bit down hard, yanking back with the strength of a bear. For such a small wolf, he packed one heck of a punch. Everything was drowning out around him, and the only thing he could see was Scar. He didn't see or hear Piper at all... What a mistake ignoring her for now was...

Scar felt the blood spurting from his paw and herd an ominous crack. He howled in anger and fury, hate in every movement as he thrust his powerful legs at him, knocking him over and lunged for Garron's throat. It was time to end this upstart....

Piper saw everything in slow motion...it was as if her whole world was crumbling around her, every detail heightened, every drop of blood highlighted against the moonlight darkly. As Scar lunged for Garron she knew that it was her love's death blow. He couldn't get up in time...
Garron.
Or Scar.
She had to choose now. Love for the one who had made her life miserable...or love for the one who had made her life whole.
She closed her eyes as she lunged, fangs bared in a snarl of anger, at her own brother. She couldn't bear to see what she was about to do...her teeth met with his head and she viciously tore away, her paws slamming into him. She felt him shudder and go limp...and then fall at her feet.
She could feel something sticky seeping into her paws...
She didn't dare open her eyes...
She waited to hear Garron's voice...feel his comforting touch...
"Piper...what have you DONE???!!!"
Piper's eyes snapped open so stare at Scar...he was standing across from her staring at her with horror and disgust. She looked down and gasped.
It wasn't Scar's blood that yet seeped onto her paws...she had not killed Scar....
A sob of utter disbelief and anguish escaped her as she stared at her best friend's body.
Had she done this? Piper knew the answer....
"no...no...." was all she could whisper as her legs buckled and she collapsed next to Garron. She could not believe he was...she couldn't even say it....
She put a paw over his heart, staring at his peaceful face. "Garron.....please....no"
Scar looked like he couldn't believe his little sister could even try and hurt him...but it was what he had betted everything on. He knew that her love was desperate...he would use it to achieve his goal...
When he had sensed her attack, he had grabbed Garron by his back and pulled him around as a shield, letting her kill him instead of her. Now, as he stared down at her an the lifeless form of Garron...the next stage of his plan could start...
He grabbed Piper by the scruff and pulled her away like a naughty pup. "I never thought my sister would be a murderer...you realize that the alphas will kill you for slaying their son? I promised to protect you...I'll try and speak on your behalf...perhaps they will consider banishment if I go with you and make sure you never return...

Piper barely registered Scar's words...no tears had come yet....she couldn't believe it....
As Scar pulled her away and back to the densite she screamed and tried to fight him...finally begging him to let her go and be with Garron...."He can't be dead!" she sobbed, "He's not dead....oh, Garron....no...."
Scar pulled her along, unheeding of her desperate and vain pleas. He let go of her right before they entered the densited, whirling her around so his icy eyes bore into hers, "Listen to me! He will never come back now....you made sure of that. YOU killed him, Piper...you killed him. Now try and shut up while i barter for your life with the alphas...perhapse...just perhapse they will let you come with me. I'm willing to bear the disgrace of banishment to protect you but you have to prove you are sorry."
Piper nodded...speechless. She had no will to contradict or fight him now. She was done...
She knew she wouldn't live long enough for her fate to matter...without Garron her life was meaningless....she no longer wanted to go on.
Scar padded wearily into the densite and up to the alphas...sorrow, grief and anger radiating from his scarred form. "I am so sorry to have to tell you this..."
And he told them what had happened. Piper simply collapsed on the ground and sobbed...not caring who saw her now...

As Scar told her about what had happened to her son, Zero merely stood there in silence. Fury, shock, and grief burned holes in her pelt, and every hair on her pelt was bristling. Her son... her beloved son... dead? Just like that? When Scar finished, she looked over at Piper... at a loss for words. Then, slowly... her blue eyes seemed to ignite with a fire deadlier than a wildfire. They possessed a gleam so much like Garron's eyes had, before he'd... he'd...

"Piper..." Zero's voice was calm... Much too calm after the news she'd just heard. "Get up here."

Piper didn't know how she stood...she could never remember the seemingly endless walk up to the mother of her love.
As she approached Scar stood between them, his eyes filled with a question...a hope. "Please...Zero...please..."

"Step away, Scar." Zero's voice was low and calm... but it was clear that it was merely a mask over the fury which she was barely able to contain. She was keeping it on a tight chain... but that chain was breaking, bit by bit. "Piper... I knew it was you who had driven him away from Pinepack. I'll tear your pelt to shreds until there's only a pulp left."

Piper simply sat there...she didn't care if she lived or died. There was no redemption for her...her heart was broken...she had killed...she had killed...

Scar didn't move. "Zero...For my sake...don't kill her. Have I not done everything in my power for this pack? Please...let me take her away...I'll make sure she ccan never return."

Zero just stood there for a long moment that seemed like an eternity. She mulled it over in her head... she could kill Piper right now for killing her son... or she could live the miserable life of a loner. The sky was becoming lighter, and the stars were fading as they gave way to the light of dawn. "Fair enough," she growled. "Piper, I sentence you to exile. If you are seen here after noon today, you will be killed in front of all of Pinepack."

To Piper is was all a buzz...she barely registered Zero's sentience, the shocked and angry looks from her former pack mates, or Scar gently but firmly dragging her out...back to lonerland.
One thing was certain...Scar would let her life be a good one...every time he would look at her, she would be reminded of what she had done.

(timeskip a few hours?)

(( Yup ))

Girvan felt a familiar presence next to him. The sun had made him warm and lazy but he opened one eye slowly.
It was Garnett. "Oh, hello! Come to relax in the sun?" he asked with a calm wink.

Light flooded into Garron's vision as his eyes slid open slowly, and he cringed. His body felt like a bag of sand, and his head was throbbing. Dried blood crusted the top of his head. "What in the name of Lupus happened..." he muttered to himself. He didn't remember any of the night's events... other than a whole lot of pain. With a grunt, he stumbled to his paws, catching himself when he staggered every so often.

What happened?

He did his best to remember the night's events... and he almost wished that he hadn't. They came crashing back into him like a tidal wave.

"If you thought I was gonna run, you've got another thing coming." Garron's voice was cold and calm. His hackles rose and his eyes blazed like a wildfire.

You better run while you have the chance, Garron...." Scar narrowed his eyes until they were slits.

Piper screamed but her muscles were frozen to the spot. No...not now! Don't let me freeze up now! she begged Lupus. "Scar, you promised!" she choked out.

"Piper!" Adrenaline began surging through Garron's blood. His mind raced as countless worst case scenarios bubbled up in his thoughts... She would be killed! The aches and pains throbbing from deep within his bones fizzled away, and he raced after Piper and Scar's scents, which were growing stale. "I'm coming, Piper... Hold on..."
