Light flooded into Garron's vision as his eyes slid open slowly, and he cringed. His body felt like a bag of sand, and his head was throbbing. Dried blood crusted the top of his head. "What in the name of Lupus happened..." he muttered to himself. He didn't remember any of the night's events... other than a whole lot of pain. With a grunt, he stumbled to his paws, catching himself when he staggered every so often.
What happened?
He did his best to remember the night's events... and he almost wished that he hadn't. They came crashing back into him like a tidal wave.
"If you thought I was gonna run, you've got another thing coming." Garron's voice was cold and calm. His hackles rose and his eyes blazed like a wildfire.
"I Made it very clear you were not to see my sister again, you dear-heart. Now here you are stealing her mind and heart away...making her leave and betray her pack! Oh, very gentlemanly of you! Now...the damage is done....I doubt Zero will let her stay and we will be bereft of a pack! You better run while you have the chance, Garron...." Scar narrowed his eyes until they were slits.
Piper screamed but her muscles were frozen to the spot. No...not now! Don't let me freeze up now! she begged Lupus. "Scar, you promised!" she choked out.
"Piper!" Adrenaline began surging through Garron's blood. His mind raced as countless worst case scenarios bubbled up in his thoughts... She would be killed! The aches and pains throbbing from deep within his bones fizzled away, and he raced after Piper and Scar's scents, which were growing stale. "I'm coming, Piper... Hold on..."
