Piper staggered behind her brother. He had led her deep into lonerland, close to their old home.
Just another weight of pain that settled on her soul. As she thought about her past and the fire...her future without Garron...
Her legs buckled and she could go no further.
Scar turned back around and watched her for a moment. "Get up. We need to keep moving and reach my old den before nightfall." when she didn't move he sighed and glowered at her. "This is your fault you know. If you had just let me chase him away we would be safe in pinepack right now. You would be safe and he wouldn't be dead."
Piper said nothing and Scar came over, towering over her. They were high up. Close to the waterfall that fed into the river below and he had to speak loud in order to be heard...but there was an edge of anger in his voice still the same.
"I guess you killing him was a blessing in disguise. It would have never worked out anyway...you didn't really love him. You couldn't have! He was such a weakling..a deerheart! He deserved to fall at the paws of a weak she-wolf." he muttered almost to himself.
Piper raised her head slowly. Her eyes spitting the fire that usually dwelt in her brother's icy eyes. "But that is where you are wrong, brother..." she spat the last word out like venom. "My brother would never treat me like you have done...said the things you have said! You are not Marble. And Scar is not my brother. I did love Garron...more than any wolf but him will ever know...now even he will never know..." her voice cracked and the fire dimmed in her purple eyes.
Scar advanced and picked her up by the scruff again. "You don't know what you are saying. You are delirious..."
Piper raked her claws down his muzzled and tore away from him. She felt blood running down her neck from where his teeth had pulled away but she was free for now. She stood there shaking for a moment as the shocked Scar reeled back, licking away the blood that stained his white pelt scarlet.
"What....why would..."
Piper took a step forward, limping on her hurt paw. "I loved him....i loved him...you....you don't deserve my love."
She lunged, her paws outstretched and her fangs gleaming. Scar hesitated for a moment....this wasn't right. She should be able to even try and fight him! But he hesitated to long. Her fangs dug deep into his shoulder and he roared with pain and hurt...
Something snapped in his eyes....
Piper was no longer his loving sister...
Piper hated him....she didn't know how he had made his sole purpose just for protecting her from those who would hurt her. He wanted to keep her in loner land away from the packs...he could protect her there...but now?
Revenge was his only thought.

He grabbed her shoulder and ripped her off him, no head to the chunk of his own hide that was ripped away with her. He whirled around and flung her against a tree, an ominous crack filled the evening air as Piper cried out in pain...
Scar advanced, "You....how could you....."

The world whizzed past him in a windy blur as Garron raced through the woods. He looked almost like a blur himself, a bullet; he was running faster than he had ever before in his life. Adrenaline surged through his blood, blocking out the pain that would otherwise be crippling him. It gave him a boost of speed, as well, but the real thing that drove him on was Piper... the she-wolf he loved so dearly. He perked his ears against the wind as he heard the voices of Piper and Scar split the air.

He burst into the clearing and howled, "PIPER!"

Quote: "Okay...If you want to." Girvan said softly. He hoped that he wouldn't fail her in whatever she needed...
She needed listening ears? He would give them to her..

Garnet drew a ragged breath, then began.

"A little over a year ago, when I was still in Darkpack, I was on border patrol. I met a loner. I was going to chase him off, but he got me talking. His name was Scorch. He put my guard down. He was charming and pleasant, and somehow I found myself making arrangements to meet with him again. And again. And again. In a couple months I found myself to be pregnant with Scorch's pups. Our meetings grew fewer, but more excited, until finally I had to stay in the densite all the time. Then the pups came. It was a hard birth, but I had three pups. Then a border patrol found Scorch and recognized his scent on the pups. They dragged him into the densite, along with me and my pups. Kodiak killed him. He wanted me to kill the pups, but I wouldn't, so he killed them and gave me one more chance. I swore revenge, but I bided my time. This last battle I couldn't fight for them any longer, so I fought with Stonepack. You know the rest."

Destoe smiled and said "a plan that will bring all of the packs to their knees. And your son because as I told you, his potential."
"I'm not sending my son to the other packs to fight." She growled. "I don't care how much potential you think he has."

Ripple loped into the small clearing that Suski and Destoe were standing in, carrying a small rabbit. He stopped when he saw them and dropped the rabbit. "You're still here?" He asked Destoe grumpily.

Suski looked at him and smiled when she saw the rabbit. "You caught one, good job." She praised.
