~Run With The Pack~ A Wolf Roleplay

Atra crossed back into Darkpack territory with the rest of her pack. She was upset that Darkpack hadn't totally scattered Stonepack, but, while they had only a few deaths (they could recruit some loners to replace them) Stonepack had suffered more than them. She smiled a little at this, licking some of Nebrivo and Quartz's blood from her scarred muzzle. Her pack had left its mark on the mountain wolves.

Cedar stumbled back into the Stonepack camp and collapsed. She coughed up some blood, falling again as she tried to stand. Both of her front legs were injured, and her right eye was not working at all. Cedar whined and pawed at her torn-up face, hoping that it was only blood blocking her vision.

Faedon started to turn to Phoenix, but stopped when she heard Senkah and Hades gathering the pack in front of the alpha's rock. "What's going on?" Faedon murmured to herself, and glanced around. She got a sinking feeling in her chest as she saw the splatters and smears of blood staining the densite. A rank mixture of scents wafted into her nose... Blood, Darkpack... and death, and lots of it.

Faedon's immediate thought was, Who would I miss the most? A second after, she felt ashamed for thinking that, and mentally kicked herself. She didn't know who, but she could tell by scent alone that Stonepack wolves had died. At least it wasn't my family. Faedon felt guilty, but that was truthfully how she felt about it.

Senkah's head was bowed in sorrow, her face shadowed by the way she was positioned. "Stonepack, gather." Her voice was grim.

Cedar slowly dragged herself toward the alpha female. She knelt down when standing became to painful, her ears drooping, eyes blank, and tail as limp as a lifeless body's.

"Stonepack," Senkah murmured again when the pack was gathered, "Today is a very sad day for us. We have lost four loyal wolves: Quartz, Nebrivo, Poppy, and... Willow." Senkah had been a bit hesitant about mentioning her name. She had been a traitor... but she also chose to fight with Stonepack, right before she had died. "They will be missed." She gazed up at the sky above. The sun had been blocked out by dark clouds, as though the world itself was grieving the loss of the four wolves. "May Lupine accept them into the pack of Lupin, in the stars above."

Cedar sobbed into the ground after Senkah announced the names of the dead wolves. She had hardly known Poppy, same with Willow, and Quartz and her had been getting more and more distant since she became Nebrivo's mate. Now the only thing the red she-wolf could think of was how much time she should have spent getting to know her own packmates. Now those chances were gone. I'll get you Kodiak, Atra, Darkpack....I'll make sure you suffer for what you stole from us.

Fyra and Echo stood beside each other, heads hung. Rivulets of blood made pools in front of them, but they barely noticed; the greatest wound was losing their packmates.
"Senkah?" Fyra piped up, looking up with respect to the alpha. "Can we bury Willow on the mountainside instead of the graveyard? She loved it there."

"Yes, we can." Senkah's gaze fell to the two she-wolves. "You two can take Willow's body to wherever you wish to bury her. Cedar can take Nebrivo's body to the graveyard, and Faedon will take Quartz. And Jisrun..." Senkah wasn't sure whether or not to ask this of him; typically whenever burial time came, Senkah didn't ask the mate of the deceased to carry them. "You can take Poppy."

Sierra's heart thudded in her chest as she heard the news. Mari's ears fell to the side.
