Faedon offered a tired, yet exhilerated half smile. "They make up for it a million times over." As Faedon gazed down at her pups in wonder, she felt her heart soar with love for them. She could finally understand what a mother's love was- how Senkah felt. She noticed Ginger squirming about just outside the nest, and with great care, she gently lifted her up by her scruff and placed her beside her siblings. "What will we name them?" she murmured to Phoenix.
Phoenix flopped weakly beside her, drawing a tongue over a bright red he-pup with pine green eyes, like his mother. His tiny jaws parted and a small whine escaped him. Phoenix smiled. "How about Russet for this one?" he asked her, smiling with joy. His eyes were sparkling, yet deep within their deep brown gaze, was a fierce protectiveness. He would die to defend his family.Quote:

Ginger squinted her eyes. They still have not opened yet, but she was trying. Her red fur glistened as the sun began to rise. She squealed, she wasn't use to the brightness in her face.Poppy squirmed and cried loudly. She didn't like whatever was happening...she shut her eyes tight against the light, curling up in a tight ball.
"Shh," Faedon ushered to her pups. Her voice was as soft as the snow. "You're alright." Although her stomach still felt like a bag of sand weighing her down, she rose to her paws and stepped over to the other side of the nest so that the sunlight didn't hit their faces. She looked at the little pup that Phoenix had named. "It's perfect for him," she murmured.
Her gaze fell upon a little brown and white she-pup, and Faedon felt her heart twist with a bittersweet feeling. She resembled one Stonepack wolf so much that it could have been mistaken for her pup instead... Poppy, the she-wolf who had died in battle a month before. Poppy... I wish you could see this. "I know just what we'll call her." Faedon rasped her to he over the little pup's head. "Poppy. In honor of..." Faedon's sentence trailed off, and she turned away. The thought was just too much for her, as Faedon had been quite close to Poppy (( if that's okay, Dragon )), and her death had filled Faedon with such great sorrow. But Phoenix would know just who she was talking about. Phoenix nodded, drawing his tongue over her cheek. "It's perfect." he nuzzled her, knowing the pain and grief she felt.
A sad smile curled across Faedon's muzzle, and she drew her tongue over Poppy's head. She then set her eyes on a grayish-brown and white male. "How does Kado sound for him?" "Sounds good to me." Phoenix nodded in approval.
"What do you want to call her?" Faedon rasped her tongue over Ginger's little body.
Phoenix thought for a moment. "Ginger, perhaps?" he looked at Faedon.
(To kiba)Kludd looked at her, she was beautiful, but kludd hadn't known her that long, but he was beginning to like her more than he thought he would, more than he thought he should. he then headed out to keep watch.
Garron's sides heaved as he caught his breath. An exhilerated grin curled up at the corners of his muzzle, and he looked over at Piper. "We did it together." A second after that, he blinked at himself. Quit being stupid, Garron.
Zero's brow furrowed in thought. It was a vague description, but the eyes stood out to Zero. "I think I might know who you're talking about. Follow me." She began to lope away, and pressed her nose to the ground. She caught Piper and Garron's scent, and she paced after it.
A few hours passed, and it was almost dawn before Faedon finished her birth. Her litter had been very large; the pups were small, but they were all strong and healthy.
Phoenix had just started coming around, and wobbled towards his mate on very unsteady legs. "Faedon.. feeling b-better?" he asked, smirking, despite his woozy feeling.
Faedon offered a tired, yet exhilerated half smile. "They make up for it a million times over." As Faedon gazed down at her pups in wonder, she felt her heart soar with love for them.
