"But that's my point...Darkpack took me in. I have a home and friends....stupid friends, mind, but friends...and I have a roof over my head. Would you like that Arata? We could offer all that to you."

Ember loped along the border of her pack, her nose to the ground. She looked on with scrutiny as she scoured for prey. She hated winter for this reason--there was no prey to be found, at all, ever. And to say it bothered her would be an understatement.

Suka was stalking along the border of the pack, the one closest to the Stonepack border. He growled, and headed up towards the loner lands, to check in on the activity there.

Nikko grinned and trotted through the undergrowth. He had been the one to suffer the least by far in the winter as his hunting skills benefited him--and sometimes the pack--greatly. Today's catch was a large grouse. Now he just needed to find a wolf to share it with.

(Anyone can jump in here with Ember and Nikko; but please leave Suka alone. I can haz planzies for him... :weee )
Muri hunted unsuccessfully nearby.

"I'm fine as a loner!" She suddenly snapped.

Comet took a step back. "Fine isn't good. You seem like a capable wolf, Arata...but the life of a loner is long and hard with no one to keep company. Trust me...I know."
(yeah...his mood swings are unlike any other wolf I rp...he just came as a complicated package. lol)

Scar made his way back to pinepack densite. Piper had just returned, head down and trying to stay in the shadows.

"So...show me what you caught Piper." Scar smiled at her.

Piper grimaced as she dropped a squirrel and another rabbit at his feet. "I'm not good at tracking things..." she mumbled. Scar brushed his pelt against hers bracingly. "Hey...you'll learn! Ill start teaching you tomorrow."

They took the prey out to the fresh kill pile and chose their dinner, eating under Pipers tree.

Scar looked at Piper as if what he was about to tell her pained him. "Pipes...I saw Garron in he woods today."

Piper's eyes grew wide, her meal forgotten.

"He isn't very happy." Scar chose his words very carefully...it wasn't about what he said...it was about what was implied.

"Look Piper, ill be honest. I don't think his company is one you should keep. I know he has been kind to you in the past," he continued quickly before she could speak. "But he just can't see past his anger for me. If I wasn't so big I'm sure he would have attacked me today. But that's not what scares me...if he really cared about you than he would give me a chance, right? He would for you...but. He isnt. He wants to see you again tonight. He wants to say goodbye. He told me to tell you to meet in the territory." Scar rose sadly, but triumph surged through his veins as he saw grief mixed with uncertainty on his sister's face.

"I hope what he said isn't true. Perhaps he may still be your friend after all but..." He bent his head down and touched noses with his sister. "I'm going on a hunt with the alphas, okay? I'll be here if you need me."

Piper watched him go her emotions swirling like crazy. Garron had seemed so distant and sullen this morning...when she had spoken about her brother he had left her. A tear trickled down her face as she watched Scar go. Scared and sad to meet Garron for the last time.

When evening approached, she got up and set out for the place she and Girvan had met the night before. She lay down in the soft leaves to wait for him.

As the sky faded from blue, to white, to indigo, and the orange rays of the sunset gave way to the night, Garron remained standing on his boulder. He was clenching his jaw, and he wondered if he should even bother going to see Piper one more time. It would only make him wish to see her more when they were separated, and there was no doubt she would be different. Garron didn't have a doubt in his mind that Scar had twisted the things he said around, and Piper wouldn't believe him when he gave her the correct information. It was just a waste, Garron figured. This was no way to live. He would leave the pack tomorrow.

But Garron relented. I should at least say goodbye to her. With a sigh, he rose to his paws and headed towards Piper's scent. The bracken quivered as Garron padded through...

Misa's eyes slowly opened and she looked up. She didn't notice what was going on at first, but when she finally did. she jumped back. "How did you find me!?" She shouted. "I-I wasn't crying!"
He looked at her, his eyes filled with sadness. "I'm a wolf, Misa. I followed you scent." He mumbled quietly and looked away from her. "And I'm not stupid." He mumbled even quieter.

Piper had almost fallen asleep waiting so long for Garron, silent tears had fallen because she thought he had left...not wanting to ses her. When he came into the clearing she sprang to her feet.
"Garron!" it came out as a gasp and she took a few hesitant steps towards him, self consciously.

Comet took a step back. "Fine isn't good. You seem like a capable wolf, Arata...but the life of a loner is long and hard with no one to keep company. Trust me...I know."

"we under stand, DONT WE COMET." Destoe said sternly looking at comet "but I want you to know that the offer is still here, if you ever feel like it."
(It's all kool, I like RPing with wolves that you don't know what'll happen next)

Arata pulled her head back up and stood tall. "Do you guys even have the choice of inviting me into your pack? Isn't that the alpha's job?"
