Destoe put his nose in the air trying to see if their was a herd of elk near by. He then said "follow me."

Ripple followed Destoe silently, scenting the air as he went.

Destoe then smelt it, a pack of elk. He then said "Their they are Ripple. Now do what I did, step lightly and always watch where you are putting your paw."

Ripple looked at Destoe and then at the elk. He took a deep breath and walked forward. He did what Destoe showed him. Walked as close and as silently as possible. He got about halfway around before her misplaced his paw and snapped a twig. Next thing he knew the elk were running away. "UGHH!" Ripple yelled and scraped the ground with his paws. He looked up at Destoe. "I mess everything up." He growled.

Destoe walked up to where Ripple was standing and said "you will get it, this is your first time." Destoe walked up to a hill where he could see everything he then said "Now do it again."

Ripple sighed in frustration. "Okay." He looked down the hill and could see that the elk had gathered a ways away. He headed down the hill towards the elk, going slowly. He started heading around them again.

He started to get impatient, and started to go more quickly. Watching the elk, and then his paws. He stepped on a small twig and stopped. Holding his breath. He looked up at the elk. They were still grazing, not even noticing he was there.

Ripple started walking again and made it around. He looked back at them, he was tempted to growl and make them all scatter, but he resisted. He quickly went back up the hill to Destoe. "How was that?" He asked.
