Aki waited for an opening and dashed into the herd, cutting off the old female and driving her from the herd with stabbing attacks.

Nike and Sierra yipped and drove the herd away from Aki, to keep her/him (sorry) from getting trampled.

Quartz nipped at the elk's neck and back, trying to avoid its hooves.

Aki leapt and grabbed the old elks back leg, snapping it. He spun away to avoid a kick. "Serria,Nike" he yelled. "Keep her back end occupied!" He ran to the front of elk with quartz to take it down.!

Quartz lunged for its neck, but was driven off by its last swing of its hooves. She "Aki!" she said, trying again.

Aki lunged, grabbing underneath the neck and using his wait to drag the elk's head to the ground. "Bring her down!" He mumbled.

Quartz flew in to give the killing blow and the elk fell all the way...

Aki stepped back panting. He planted his butt on the ground and threw his head back and howled, telling the pack dinner was served! He stepped aside, letting the pups and quartz eat first.
