Mari nudged him softly with her nose, and looked at him with understanding eyes. She turned and walked slowly to the dens.

Aki followed leaning his shoulder against her, he stepped in front of her and laid his head over her neck, rubbing his muzzle in fur and whimpering, he inhaled her scent. He felt a tightness in his throat as he thought about how he would feel of he lost her.
 
Onyx looked at her and closed his eyes. "Why?" he murmured. Tears fell lightly from his eyes.

"Aki," she soothed. She wrapped her head around him, in a tight hug. "Oh Aki," she closed her eyes tightly.
 
Part of Nebrivo wanted to jump off the cliff after the body of Lupin. He almost felt as though she was just "asleep" and he had made a mistake, but another part of him, the wiser part, told him: "She's gone...".
