... Kappa broke the ice six feet away. It would be impossible for a wolf six feet away from another wolf to break the ice reaching all the way to the other wolf.

U didnt say six feet in the first place.
I will just say that in the process of Jasmine yellping, the ice began to brake and she plopped into the water.

Jasmine slashed and kicked and paddled, becoming closer and closer to the egde. She finally got to the edge and shook herself off,
"Whoa, that was a close one! Ha Ha sorry to bother you guys. My name is Jasmine, but you can call me Jazzy."

Kappa, after drinking, didn't bother to interfere. She knew that the wolf had made a bad decision to try and become friends with pack wolves. Moving to an unbroken patch of ice, she neatly bounded across, light on her paws. Her movements across were quick and elegant, not breaking any of the ice underneath her when she ran.
