Scarlet nodded. She walked over to Blizzard and Nike.
Elan continued licking Lightning's fur, trying to clam her, or more like calm himself.  His movements were jittery, and he shook uncontrollably.

"I have no idea Blizzard." Nike whispered.  "But, this has got to stop."
Scarlet walked up to them.  "Nike," He lowered her head. "I need to move Wind. But, I don't know where.  Senkah will kill him if we leave him here."
Nike didn't turn to face her. "Out of camp? Are you saying you need to move him out of Stonepack?"  Scarlet nodded slightly. "I don't believe there is any other choice."  Nike just stared at Senkah, "Talk to Lightning. I don't know."
Scarlet's heart sank. StonePack is falling apart. She thought.

Blizzard looked at Nike, then at Scarlet. His heart sank, he looked at the pack, shattered. A growl rose in his throat. "Nike," his voice was heavy and gravely. "Nike, I think........" he hesitated, thinking back to the conversation he last had with Aki. "I think we need to ask Aki to come home." He whispered, afraid he might offend Nike. "He....he is strong and can rally the pack together." He stared into the forest "more wolves keep running away, if we don't stay strong...... darkpack will come back." He lowered his ready to hear Nike yell at him.

Wind began mumbling incoherent things, while Lightning just looked on, fearing for her brother. "Wind," she whispered, her heart hammering in her chest.

Nike's heart burst with sorrow. His own pack didn't even trust him. But, he couldn't lead this pack. Not without a strong helper to guide him. "I'll go. Alone." His voice was low, and hoarse.
Scarlet nodded, through her mind was in a whirl.

Scarlet laid beside Wind, hoping her breathing would steady his.
Elan nuzzled his mate. "He'll be fine. Scarlet is watching out for him. Please, worry about yourself. Are you alright? Does anything hurt?"

Feeling Scarlet against his pelt, Wind calmed down.

"My neck hurts a bit... but I'm fine." Senkah's kick had partially slit Lightning's throat, and blood coated her neck, but she was only beginning to feel the pain as the adrenaline began to wear off.

Blizzard nodded and then jogged over to Scarlet. He looked at Elan, lightning and wind. "I know of a cave, still in stonepack, but deep in the mountains, you guys should be safe there....."

Aki and lupus returned from hunting, they had found nothing. Aki hung his head, he didn't like this land, it was hard to hunt. He was so familiar with hunting the mountains. He sighed, and walked into the den. He looked at his pups and thought of his father. He thought of how disappointed his father had been when his brothers left stonepack, he thought of the last thing his father had said. 'Aki, you have to stay strong, protect the pack, please don't abandon them, don't leave like brothers.' Aki whined and laid down. He felt like he had disappointed his father, but at the same time he had had no choice but to leave.

Scarlet smiled. "Good. We'll get them there as soon as possible."

Elan's face was twisted with concern. "Are you sure?" He asked.

Mari was laying on her side, sleeping soundly. Nursing 7 jumpy, hyper pups was hard, and wearing her out. Her ear twitched in her sleep, and her paw moved slightly.

Onyx sat in his den, his shoulders slumped. Jasper was gone. If only his strong attitude hadn't gotten in the way. He curled up, and closed his eyes, letting the darkness wash over him.

Jasper staggered through the territory, his body shaking with the effort of moving. His ribs stuck out of his pelt, and his eyes had sunken places above them. He couldn't hunt. He had tried, but his shaky, jerky movements scared everything away before he caught them. I'm gonna die.... He thought, And it's all because of me.

"Jasper?" A voice said quietly in the shadows. It was Breeze, one of the wolves who had disappeared.
