Chayton gasped, his eyes round as saucers. "NIKKI!" He barked, choking out her name. "WIND!! SCARLET!!! NORTH!!!" He bellowed frantically.

Nike frowned in sorrow. He had no idea what had happened before Senkah became alpha. "Senkah.... I'm so sorry." He murmured, not knowing what else to say.
 
Wind poked his head in. "What's going on?"

Senkah rested her head on her paws. "Frostfur's going to become the alpha of Emeraldpack soon, and Hawk is a loner, but she's happy. Oh, I hope they all are happy. I just wish they were here, in Stonepack, with me."

"I-It's Nikki!!" Chayton yelped, scrambling back.

Nike licked her cheek, feeling the sorrow his mate felt. "Maybe someday.." He murmured.
 
Wind hurried in. "What's wrong with her?"

Senkah's flanks heaved a sigh, her eyes clouded with grief.
 
Nikki lifted her head weakly, giving Chayton a lick on the cheek. "Goodbye, Chayton," she whispered. "I love you."
