"Mama... is he gonna be okay?" May whimpered to Scarlet.

Faolen smiled. "Fine.. how about you?" he asked, his tail thumping on the dirt floor. 
Mari went to Gray. "How about you?" she asked gently, licking his face. 

Aki smiled. "Good." he turned to his little rag tag family. "We'll rest here a few days and then go home." he padded back out of the hollow and moved to the higher hill, he stared at the stars.

Gray grunted. "I'm fine mom." he limped from the hollow. "Hey Elki, help me drag the fawn up here to the howl." he barked

Blizzard paced outside the den where Sitka and the pups hide. He could hear Silverwind and Shade whimper. Shade crawled out, shaking. "Dad?" He whispered. "What's going on?"
"They are called Hunters, Shade."He looked at his young son. "They are horrible beasts, that you must always be wary of. Never trust any two-leg."
Shade trembled. "Okay Dad." he ran back into the cave to his mother. "Mom I'm hungry."

West nodded at Nike. he yanked a large piece of meat from the fawn. "I'm gonna go check on Sierra." he raced off to the cave. he walked in "Sierra?" he whispered. he smiled when he saw her and Koda curled up together. "here." he placed the meat in front of her, then laid down

Shade and Silverwind laid down, tugging on the rabbit, pawing at eachother's faces as they tore of small pieces of meat
