Lightning barked a greeting to Fang, sitting down beside the river to fish.

Chayton melted, then bolted away into the forest. WHY IS THIS SO HARD?! He snarled to himself.

"Chayton!" Nikki called after him, then let her ears and tail fall, frowning sadly. She headed back into the dens.
Chayton chased his tail, biting into it as if trying to clear his mind. He got up, panting, and headed back to the dens.

Nikki sat outside her den, having the "lost in her thoughts" look in her eyes again. Her mind drifted. How on Earth did Lightning, Sitka, Scarlet... all of them, get their mate? Did Scarlet approach Wind, or did Wind approach her..? GAH, this is so hard! She frowned to herself.
Chayton stumbled along, his head hung low. He passed Nikki, only giving a small wave of his tail to acknowledge she was even there. Then he padded inside his own den.

Rebel's heart skipped a beat, he looked down at her, then quickly away. "Are we almost there?" He grunted, wincing with pain.

Sahara's father nodded. "Yep, just through these shrubs." He said, alredy slipping through thick bushes. Sahara looked at Rebel, asking with her eyes if he could do it. The Bushes were very thick, with only a small opening to squeeze through.

Rebell nodded, setting his jaw, his eyes full of determination. he squeezed through the small hole, but yowled as a stick caught the open woud and tore deeper. He shoved through to the other side, collapsing on the ground in agnony.

In an instant, Sahara was beside him, her eyes wide. "C'mon... Just a little further." She crooned, unaware of her tone.
