Talc bit her lip to keep from whimpering as she nodded. She knew nearly everyone in the pack was going to distrust her, maybe for her whole life. Is this worth it? she wondered.

Fang saw the look in hers eyes. he smiled at her, trying to reassure her. his eyes danced with hope.
