Mist, hearing a voice, spun around. She scanned the forest with her gray eyes, then spotted Fire. A broad, unusually bright smile washed over her face, then disappeared after a few moments. She dropped her ears again and scampered off to the river. "Stupid Mist!" she muttered angrily to herself. "Now Breeze will surely get on me!"

Senkah nuzzled him.

"Mist?" Fire called almost involunarily, before smacking his nose with a paw. "You idiot, Fire!"
"C'mon." Nike said, playfully bounding over to their den. "I have something for you."

Mist's head shot up, she tucked her tail and padded over. "Yes?" she asked, her face red.

Senkah's tail wagged as she followed him.

Fire bit his lip.
Nike bounded inside their den, holding a flower in his teeth. It was a wild rose, and was a lovely peach color. "Here.. found it this morning." he said.

Mist looked down, embarrassed. Maybe he didn't call me. She thought.

Senkah smiled from ear to ear. "Aw, thank you Nike!"

"Iloveyou," he blurted out. His eyes widened, you dunce! He thought to himself, getting up and running away.
Nike beamed. "You're welcome!" he replied happily.
(Aw..!)

Mist's eyes widened. She watched him go, frozen stiff. Then, like ice breaking, she bolted after him. "Fire! Wait!" she called.

Senkah licked his ear, grinning happily.

Fire skidded to a halt, and looked back at her, his ears drooped. Here it comes... she's gonna tell me how stupid I am.

(Hey Silkes, do you like the name Autumn or Maple better than Lightning? I'm thinking about changing her name...)

West's heart twisted with such sorrow, not for himself but for her. He leaned against her, wrapping his over her neck. "You have nothing to apologize for." He whispered. "I love you Sierra!" He pulled her close, letting her know that he was there for her. He held back the tears the wanted to overflow and swallowed the knot forming in his throat, he wanted to be strong.for her

Night paced, muttering to himself. Rage was starting to build inside the young, black wolf. It was a rational, dangerous anger. He wanted revenge on Darkpack, to get even with them for taking their land after the fire.
