Willowsong's gaze raced along the miles of pines, and to the mountains beyond. A small frown crossed her muzzle. She wasn't frowning because she was unhappy; she was frowning because she had just realized how much world was outside DarkPack.
"It's beautiful up here," Willowsong managed. It was hard to talk, knowing that the mountains were looming above them. Nature's way of telling us that it's been around way before wolves, she thought.[/quote]

Sure enough, a young doe was lurking beneath the canopy of taiga.[/quote]
"K." Cody stalked down the side of the mountain. He used his strong nose and sharp ears to locate the doe.

Cody dropped it so that his reply wasn't muffled and unintelligible. "Use it for my bedding. It is much softer than moss, and it lasts longer."

"Sure." He dragged the pelt to the entrance of his den, before he shook the dust out of his pelt. "Follow me." He picked his way around the mountainside; there were a series of crags lining the cliffs and the mountainside, overlooking miles of pine forest and clearings. In the distance, more mountains spiked the horizon. The scene was breathtaking, even in the middle of the day. "We should see something from up here."
(The Band Perry should totally do a song about that.)
