More sad news today. We are shifting from waiting for Sylvie and Mantis to hatch to moving the other 3 out to the brooder and checking the remaining two eggs for viability. I plan to move the incubator into my bathroom and run the shower to get humidity up (so not to shrink wrap any possible internal pips), move the chicks into a box with a warmed towel, candle the other two eggs to investigate and close the incubator and if there is viability, move it back into the hatching room to continue until 2:00 pm when day 22 officially closes.
But there are 3 beautiful and healthy (rambunctious) babies ready for the brooder!![]()

I moved the 3 babies into a box with a warm towel and candled the two. They were both quitters, probably in week 1.
The others have been moved out to the brooder and are happily chirping away and loving all the extra leg room.
