Cody's howl came off in the distance. A caribou had been killed, and it was ready for the pack to eat. Wildfire tipped his head back and parted his massive jaws in a howl, calling the pack.

Willowsong's trot sped into a sprint, her nose guiding her towards the scent of fresh kill.

Hunter and Silver reluctantly came. They were still getting used to the idea of new alphas... but they weren't keen on the idea of leaving the pack, and if they didn't want to do that, this was the way it was.

Cody dug his muzzle into the caribou's leg and after a couple minutes of tugging and twisting, he pried it off. He dragged it off, and sank his teeth in to the meat, staining his muzzle crimson red. Wildfire took off at a sprint, motioning with his tail for the others to follow.

Willowsong pried off a leg and looked around for the alphas.

Hunter, Silver, and Zero took off after them.

Senkah and Hades were seated at the caribou's belly. Larch and Collia were sharing a leg.

A smile curved across Faedon's muzzle. She swerved her ears around a bit when she heard a howl. "My parents just killed a caribou." She looked at Ash and Phoenix. "I'm coming. You guys want to join me?"
"Sure.. I didn't think I was able to hunt with my legs like this." Ash smiled. Phoenix nodded. "Sure!"

In early morning, the usual smoky scent hung over the densite as Wildfire slunk out of the den. He had smelled a menagerie of deer close by, and he planned on getting a pelt for the den.

Meanwhile, in Stonepack's densite, Willowsong was awakening. She let her paws roll over the soft dirt of her den as she stretched, and looked around for Cody.

Zero got up shortly after Wildfire and stretched. She parted her jaws in a massive yawn, and blinked as she glanced around at the clearing. Then she remembered, We're the alphas of Pinepack! It would certainly take some time for her to get used to the prospect.

Faedon nodded. She started off at a brisk trot, following the scent trails and pawprints of her packmates to locate the caribou. Given that she had a bit more leeway with Senkah, she initially sat down to eat beside her parents. But then, she remembered that she had a mate now, and sheepishly started to pry a leg off.

Larch sat on a smooth stone in the densite. Collia padded over to her, and murmured something in her friend's ear. Larch's eyes became frightened, and Collia nodded a bit grimly.

Mystical padded over, his eyes locked on Larch's. 

(We'll see. I can't reveal exactly what they are saying, though or else it will spoil the plot.)

"...em at dusk tonight?"

But Larch had hardly even caught Collia's reply. She was staring at Mystical almost a bit dreamily.

Azar heard the howl that came from Wildfire, so she came back to camp with a gash wound on her head and shoulder from the bear she killed earlier before. She hated the knew alphas! Give them a chance... A tiny voice in her head said, so she would... for Hunters sake.

Nikko was busy digging a hole to try and catch a rat. He was always hunting. And he did a good job of it, too, often successful... If he didn't eat it before he got it back to the densite. Raising his head, he heard a crashing in the forest nearby, and moments afterwards spotted a white wolf. He grinned. Muri.
