where I live we have raccoon problems. I'm planning on putting chicken wire on the bottom, then putting dirt over it. What do you guys think?

Did that AND put large rocks over the length of chicken wire that is folded under. This has worked to keep out those kinds of critters in our run and vegetable garden. We have overhead protection in our run too. Hawks have taken free ranging chickens while we went in to answer the phone...

We used vinyl coated welded wire laid flat to keep the dogs from digging out and it didn't rust away. I think the roll I bought was 24 inches high and I got it at Tractor Supply
