Thanks unlucky, i will try putting her food closer to where t/flock sleep & rest. They make such a mess, i just didnt want them to mess up their sleeping area. I'll give it a try & just clean up more often.

Some people. Went to a swap today and tractor supply had more ducks and chickens than the two sellers in the parking lot. Asked one lady with chickens if she knew of or if she sold runners. She told me I wasn't gonna find any around here. Told me pick up a phone and call a hatchery. Pretty much in what I'll call a rude voice. I was nice and told her I wanted ducklings that didn't still need heat. Then I was told it's summer put them outside. All I was asking for if she knew where I could get ducks. Also had told her that I could get them on the far side of Richmond, on the other side of Charlottesville, or the NRV. To this I was told who wants to drive that far. Again told to call a hatchery. Now I have vented.a

Im so sad to say she didn't get any better. She was eating & drinking, she just couldnt walk & she wasnt growing (the other ducklings were double her size in just a few days). She was suffering, & i couldnt put her through that. In my heart & best judgement I believe she was dying, slowly. I mourned her. She was helpless. On a good note, she isnt suffering any more.
Thanks for asking. How r all your little critters? All healthy, i pray. What kind of runners do you have? Do you have other ducks? Chickens?
I have ducks (runners, buff & pekin) chickens, dogs, horses & a snake.

I am trying to figure out if the lighter brown ducklings I have (I have 2) are indian runner? I think the darker ones are rouen. Help!

Sorry u r having a hard time finding runners in VA. What do u want (color)? What runner do u have now? I have F&W, Blue & Chocolate. Do u incubate/hatch ur own eggs? If so, im sure u could find eggs. I will hsve some when mine start mating. Just a thought. Take care.
