Yes, a good surprise. and then later i got pekins and i love them too, their so much calmer.Surprise!
My Runner has been able to stand up straight since when I got her at two days old. She only stands up really straight when she alert, though. When she isn't, she only stands a little more upright than the others. She is five weeks old. When do runners start standing up? My 2 are about 4 weeks and still aren't standing up much. Also my fawn and white runner doesn't have any fawn on her. And (I have so many questions) my black runner has yellow on her? (All female)

I just love your ducklings; they are so unique! I have seen Balis with crests, but not Runners! Is your black runner with yellow a mix of some sort?
Ooooh, a penguin duck! Cool!![]()
I wish I could find a white runner duck; that's cool, too!
Those would be cool mixes! You could get more drakes if you want other mixes, though ... (any excuse for more ducks works, right?XD I guess I got good lings this year! I'm mad at myself because next year the girls only can mate with a giant pekin of Rouen. I want MoonMoonXGibby (Rouen) and
CharlotteXDJ Quack (pekin)
HollyXFreddie (Rouen)
PhoebeXFarkle (pekin)
We will see

I had that problem with my chickens. Females work. That's an even better excuse for more ducks! I have my ducks for eggs- well, I say they're for eggs, but really, they are pets that happen to be useful!Sadly I had to get rid of 2 drakes because thy were to rough on my adult female. She passed away a few days ago. Trying to keep drakes low t the moment. 4 is enough right now. I'll give away any mix drakes to a domesticated duck pond a few miles from the house where they get feed. I need females... I want eggs!
