your ducks are beautiful. they look SQ. can i ask where you bought them?

in this pic, your drakes looks like he is 2x's bigger than your duck, poor girl.

I got them from efowel.
Yes is is twice her size. She is one of my smallest females. I think he has claimed her for his own. He was on her alot yesterday and not all the times was for baby making. He would just mount her and not you know

and others he would mate with her.

last yr my drake was overbreeding w/2 of my ducks and i didnt know any better to ck them out. i finally saw one of them w/a foamy eye and then i noticed another duck w/t same. and then as i cked them out closer, i could see they were bald where the drakes hold on them them. fyi,
so, then i kept a close eye on their mating and realized i had to seperate the ducks and drakes and i only let them be together a few days a month. i know, sad, huh, but the ducks are better for it.
just thought i would share my experience...
hope this helps someone.

Hi, and welcome to Runner Duck Club. of course you can join, you are a member so you really dont have to ask to join, just jump in and share away. your ducks are beautiful, thanks for sharing your pics of them.

you can post a reply just like you did or you can tap on the "multi" "quote" or "reply" tab at the bottom of each single post of another members,

and then when you tap on one of those you will see this screen:

just place your cursor at the end of all the typed info and begin typing your comment.

does this make sense?
and if you want to bring your reply to a members attention, tap on the "@" symbol and type in the members username in the pop up window. if you forgot how to spell their username you can type part of if and a few will be listed for you to choose from. when you "submit" your reply their username will apprear in blue and they will be notified that they have a message. you can also send a private message by going to their profile.
just play around w/all the icons and ck them out. i dont know what they all do and alot of them i dont need.

like the "link" symbol, i dont use, instead i just copy and past a website that i want to share, kwim?
hope this helps you.
again welcome and keep sharing your pics, we love pics

Thank you that helps a lot!

Thank you. Naughty as well. Broke out this morning to get to the females...
this is my first time raising ducks. I haven23 weeks of experience

that is it. Some of it im playing by ear. I did have all my drakes separate from the ladys but one by one i put them back together. They are back to a stong and full flock. This might be foolish of me but i just fill they will settle down and the high Archie will start to show it self and the dominant drack will keep the other 5 in line. There was a bit of fighting yesterday with the drakes but nothing that is uncommon to see in a family. They all seem to be wanting to mate with the same girl. Little foot. Her picture is up above in previous post. Not sure why they want her so much. There are 8 females all together. They like the others but something about her. They gain up on her. I keep a close eye on ny girls. If I seem them getting hurt again i will separate the drakes again. I cant bring my self to get rid of some of the boys and there is no way i could end there life. They are family not live stock. My hubby wants to get me 20 female ducklings 200$ because they will be sexed before shipping but i just cant see adding more because soon i hope i will be driving the big truck with my hubby in a year and i will never be home.
