So, we threw the ducklings in their makeshift run for some fresh air. They totally wore themselves out!

We have blacks, chocolates, and blues. Was wondering if the spots on the blues will fade when they feather out? They have spotty feet, too, which makes me wonder. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks so much y'all! I totally didn't know what to expect out of the blues, but I've had blue Ameraucanas in the past and totally love the color. Can't wait to see them all grown up, but they sure are cute now. :love

I'm very excited at the moment a my hen has been broody and sitting on 4 duck eggs 1 got checked out about 2 weeks ago so obviously there was something wrong with it but the others she really done a good job I never in a million years thought it would get to this stage but yesterday evening I went out to check on her and seen a small hole in egg and saw movement and a little noise i picked other 2 up and I'm sure I can hear noises inside so today I looked and the hole looks a tiny bit bigger but its beak is starting to poke out cannot believe she done it but now I don't want anything to happen so I'm going to move her in with me she really good she lets me pick her up etc I'm doing this because 1 I don't want the others to kill them or fight with her for that reason and I also don't wanna feed them all chick crumb.
is there anything I need to know regarding ducklings I've seen somewhere that u need.to buy unmedicated chick crumb?
will they need any help getting out?
how long does this egg cracking mlarky take?
btw she been sat on them now around 27 days all replies greatly received

I'd let mama do it all if at all possible. As long as she sits tight and doesn't get alarmed by the move she should do fine with hatching. Don't intervene if at all possible.
Is there any way to let her stay where she is but fence her off from the rest? Just saying she may be more comfortable that way than moved.
They do need chick starter in non medicated. and it's fine for mom to eat it too.
