Hi Laurajean! Hope you find some duckies! I can't help I'm afraid as I'm over the pond!
I candled my eggs guys are all are moving around happily except one who is moving just not a lot. He doesnt seem to have much room compared to others. Hope there aren't two in there! Anyway I've tried to take a pic to show the air sac, I'm worried its not growing enough, day 21 now. I drew a line on it at day 14 and on all the eggs it's only got about 2mm bigger. Is this ok?

Ohhh that makes a little more sense! Yeh I had looked at a few storage boxes but they were either not tall enough to keep them in or not enough floor space. The one I did find was too flimsy and thought it may melt!

As long as the heat lamp and shroud aren't actually in contact with the plastic it should be just fine. If its hot enough in there to melt plastic your little duckies wouldn't be doing too well! Ha. I personally use a large dog kennel for all my baby fowl. It works really well. You just need a tray under the waterer to keep the bedding dry!

Do you mean a dog kennel as in the kennel with a pitched roof or do you mean a big plastic dog bed? as that wouldnt be a bad idea if I could get one cheap enough. Thinking the proper kennel with roof could get abit toasty for them.

Yes, we started with a giant tupperware bin like the one Amiga pictured, & within a couple of weeks, we were building something out of scrap wood & hardware cloth. Forget the exact dimensions, but the top was a modified screen door, if that gives an idea of scale (& we only raised 4 runners last year). They get tall fast for sure.

Yes, this year, we're planning on just the brooder we built with our 2 EcoGlow heat sources so we don't have to have them move house.

Oh, & hardware cloth where the water/food goes or those rubber boot trays work well to protect the wood from all that wet they spread around.

That's a good idea. I did toy with the idea of turning my coffee table upside down building walls around it with chicken wire and covering it with a plastic sheet and then a washable blanket. But think it'd end up getting trashed.
