*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

I need a Fawn and white runner expert :)

I'm noticing that Ember is getting grey (blue) coloring on her head and cinder appears to have the fawn colored head. Looking around online I was trying to find photos of fawn and whites with the grey head and every single one I saw was a drake... anybody have a female with a grey head?

They are only a couple of weeks old so I know you cannot really tell. Just curious if anyone has a girl with the different head coloring :)
I'm not a expert, but I have three f & w runner drakes, and none of them have grey heads. Do you have a picture?

Wondering if the little black one in front is a runner?
Its a mystery duckling from tsc and is the same age but smaller than everyone and stands much taller? And the lighter one in the water bowl also stands very tall. Trying to figure out what they are. Thank u!
Definitely runners!

My two months old runner seems to be leaving small feathers EVERY WHERE. It's not like a huge amount to where you can tell by looking at her or anything so I'm sure it's not a health concern or anything. Is this just something that is common in runners? Because my rouen is about the same age but I almost never find black feathers around the house. Thanks!

My Runners had their first molt at about ten weeks of age.  They had just gotten their adult feathers in, and then poof!  Molt!

Really?? That's what I assumed was happening, but I figured it was kind of early for that. Especially since my rouen isn't losing feathers as well

mine are not even 6 weeks old and they have already got almost all their adult feathers in.

Mine has her adult feathers as well, she's already shedding them
I sexed my three black runners and thought that two of them were females and one was definitely a male. I sexed them again just now and all three are males!

That will be fine as long as you don't bring in any females. Bachelor flocks can get along great.

Oh my gosh. I cannot get over the absolutely sweet personalities of my baby runners. They are almost four weeks old now and I just love them.

Last night I had them hanging out on the floor while I watched a show. They slept right on my feet and would wake up and put their heads on my leg begging to be picked up for snuggles. If I could convince Shane, these two would be house ducks.

Here are a couple bad cell phone pics.

We plan on separating them and giving them each a female. But now its starting to look like two males a female. Makes a face idk what to think!
