Pics
Here is a few pics of my runners growing up. Not sure about the colors or sex yet...

you can gender by picking them up and listening for a quack or a squeak. Girls quack, boys don;t. You should be able to tell at this age easily enough. Just hold them around the middle to hold the wings down and let the head drop down below body level when holding them and they will tell you. I zip tag my girls leg with a pink band.

You have a splash, blue, splash, a black, blues and blue pieds. One even looks blue fawn.

Nice bunch of birds you got there.

Have two 15 day old runner ducklings! Have always wanted them and they just crack me up!

Here are two pictures the breeder provided (I haven't downloaded my 100s of pictures of them and the other ducklings yet).

This is Garrett. We named him/her after my boyfriend's duck obsessed brother! Would be pretty hilarious if this duckling turned out to be a girl! We call it G-duck to cut down on the confusion:

Have yet to figure out a name for this cutie yet! Boyfriend is making me wait to figure out the gender:

So glad I found this thread. I lost my favorite runner today and all of the posts and pictures have been lifting my spirits. Sir Edmund was my first successful hatch - she was named after Sir Edmund Hilary because the day after she hatched she wanted to climb everything. She was always a very sweet little duck who didn't exactly like being held but dealt with it with a profound amount of patience. She had a way of looking at me eye to eye with an expression of really, do I have to put up with this? I already miss her terribly. I acquired my other runners after they were fully grown and they aren't at all friendly, so there's nobody in the yard to cuddle with anymore. I told my husband I needed more ducklings...I think I know where Sir Edmund picked up her long-suffering expression from

. But really, all I need are about a half dozen Trouties and one or two White runners and I promise, I won't get any more ducks...and this time I mean it!

Requiescat in pace, Sir Edmund.

Awww! I am so sorry. Ducks are usually so hardy.
