Runner duck developing gray spots on bill

I have a five month old Fawn & White Runner duck who has a bright orange bill. Today I noticed she is getting a bunch of gray spots all over her bill. I first thought it might be mud caked on it, as we have had a lot of rain lately, but they don't rub off. Has anyone seen this before? Should I be worried or are discolorations of the bill normal? I haven't noticed this on any of my other ducks, but they all have dark bills.

My older fawn and white runners have developed this as well. They get sorta speckled. Im assuming this is normal as both of them did the same thing.

And in looking at the standards online, I found as they become adults they are supposed to turn speckled green or dull cucumber.
