Runner duck genetics?

Quote:
Why are genetics more complicated with fawn and white females? If a fawn and white female is bred with a fawn and white male will their offspring be fawn and white or could they be different??

Fawn & White x Fawn & White will produce Fawn & White progeny if birds are to text genetically colour-wise

Did you ever find out what you get?
I had exactly the opposite. Chocolate drake and f/w girls and this is what I got. The 2 on the far left are the kids. The dad is standing by the pool and the moms, who knows? They are most of the rest. The f/w drake with orange bill is one from other parentage.

This is Blu. She is so pretty! I don't have a good picture of Patches the other dark one.

@Runner duck mom just hatched 2 of my eggs from the chocolate drake and f/w duck. Hers are very young but one is very brown which is nothing like what any of mine looked like this year and I hatched out almost 20 of them. I guess it's like a box of chocolates! Check out her thread, she's got lots of cute pictures on there of her two little ones. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/pellets-for-ducklings.1338597/
