i think my runner male is a dud never hatched any this yera must have set 3-4 dozen eggs. i have never seen any mating . he is fawn and white .

how old is he?

if he's over 3 years old, his breeding days may well be over.

my pekin pair are getting older, and they RARELY mate anymore.

but my younger drakes are always on the lookout for you know what LOL

i don't know. i got them from a breeder last year when she was selling her stock . may be over 3 years old

most breeders start to sell stock when they start getting too old to produce fertile eggs.

I THINK hens can produce eggs up to like, 5 or 6 years.

but drakes fetility starts to drop after the first 2 years, and goes down steadily after that.

she was selling them because she never had the time 4 them and before she sold them they had bulit a new pen 4 them. she also sold her bantams.
