*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Flamefrost padded away, thinking about what she had seen. How did Lilyflight even get like that?

Brackenkit hid his face.
Blackblood watched her walk away from his Bramblestar, his cold gaze boring into the back of her skull. Mouse-dung! She saw Lilyflight...

"Let's go speak to your mother about this." He beckoned both kits to go to the den with his tail. Lionkit picked up his prey and trotted into the den. "Mom! I caught all this prey!"

Flamefrost looked up, noticed Blackblood staring at her, and narrowed her eyes in suspicion.

Lilyflight slowly raised her head. “What do you mean?”

He didn't flinch or look away. He only narrowed his gaze and flashed his teeth a little, challenging her.

"Me and Hazelkit went to the Sky Oak and caught a bunch of prey." He beamed.

She curled her lip, hissing slightly. “What do you want?”

“You left?”
He didn't reply, just continued to challenge her silently

"Yeah... but we fed our Clan..." He cowered a little. "I didn't go alone, Hazelkit was with me." He was surprised at her hostility. He thought his parents would be proud of him!

She continued to stare aggressively.
(We’ll be here all night )

“But Lionkit, you can’t do that, you know that! Kits can’t leave camp before they’re apprenticed, it’s the warrior cod.” She tried to keep her voice gentle but understanding. She didn’t want to scare him, just make him understand.

(Lol)
Blackblood stared back, his fur beginning to rise at the base of his neck

He whimpered softly. "I-I thought if I did this, you would let me become a warrior. I'm 6 moons, yet I'm still stuck in camp, without my apprentice name, and without a mentor!" He lashed out, a bit angry

Finally, Flamefrost stalked up to him. “Want to tell me what this is about, or are you just going to stare at me?”

“I know, and we're trying!” she mewed, feeling a bit desperate. She paused briefly to catch her breath. “But charging off where you’re not supposed to isn’t how to prove you’re ready. You’re lucky you didn’t get hurt, or worse.”

His tail lashed in anger, but he remained quiet.

Well? Have you forgotten how to speak?”

Lilyflight sighed, not knowing how to get through to him. “I know it’s hard,” she said at last. “I know you’re frustrated. But you also need to know that we’re going through something hard, too. We’re all doing the best we can; making new apprentices is just taking a little longer than usual, that’s all. You don’t need to try and prove yourself to anyone.”
