*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Flykit suddenly understood and she scooched further underneath her mother's belly, whimpering fearfully.
Rainbird dove out of the warriors den and raced to Snowfrosts side, yowling defiance at the owl
(If you don’t want her injured, I can change it)
The owl slashed Rainbird across the back and managed to scratch Snowfrost, too, before they drove it off together.
“And don’t come back!” she hissed, then looked at Rainbird with worry. “Are you alright?”

"Yeah, I'm okay." She assured her, though she winced when she looked back over her shoulder to clean it. "Are the kits okay?"

Snowfrost stepped away from them. “Are you two alright?” she demanded.

Featherkit checked Flykit, then himself, and nodded shakily.

Snowfrost looked relieved. “Good.” She have each of them a few rough licks. “Rainbird, you need to go see Floodlight.”

“I’m already here,” Floodlight said, pushing her way through the crowd of shocked cats.

“You're fine if I say you are,” she retorted. “Now let me check.” She put a light poultice on the scratches. They weren’t that deep, but it was better to be safe. She did the same for Snowfrost.

Featherkit was still trembling. Snowfrost pulled her kits close with her tail and held them to her. “Thanks for coming to help,” she said to Rainbird, her eyes wide with gratitude.

"Of course. I wasn't about to let an owl take you or the kits." Rainbird mewed, blinking at her

Lilyflight padded unsteadily out of the cave, Skykit at her side. “Is everyone alright?” she asked, the moonset illuminating her and her wounds.

“We’re fine, just a couple scratches,” Snowfrost reported.
Skykit peered around his mother's flank curiously at the other cats.

Rainbird nodded in agreement. "None of the kits were taken. We made sure of that."

Lilyflight gave a curt nod and touched Skykit’s shoulder with her tail. “Well done, both of you.”

Snowfrost returned the nod gratefully and took her kits back into the nursery to recover from the shock.

Rainbird dipped her head and retreated to the warrior's den to clean her wounds.

Flykit followed her numbly, looking up at the sky like it was about to fall on her any second.

Skykit watched them leave, his tail waving thoughtfully
