Featherkit pulled in his tail and looked at Flykit to see what she was doing.

Flykit was busy inspecting a leaf that had fluttered to the ground in front of her, not even realizing that Rainbird had joined them and was teaching them something new.

Skykit obeyed happily and moved his body up a little bit.

Rainbird nodded, satisfied. "Very good. Now creep forward, and act like that stick is a mouse."

Featherkit hopped out of his crouch and padded over to her, nudging her gently.

She nodded and quickly copied Skykit's stance and began stalking toward the same stick he was.
Rainbird watched them approvingly, happy that they were setting their paws down lightly enough that if it were an actual mouse, it wouldn't be scared away

Featherkit quickly dropped back into his crouch and followed their stalking.

When Skykit felt he was close enough, he pounced and landed squarely on it after judging the distance carefully. When he moved out of the way, Flykit judged the distance and also landed on top of it with ease. She moved out of the way so Featherkit could have his turn
