“You won’t trick me again!” he purred.
She stuck out her tongue, then decided to try it anyway, even with his grip firm. She bunched her muscles and sprang upwards, knocking her shoulder into his chest with all of the force she could muster, hoping it would be enough to fling him off of her like it had earlier that day

He fell to the ground with an, “Oof!” as he felt the breath leave his lungs. He had been unprepared for that.
 
She quickly got to her paws and pinned him with a triumphant yowl. She then let him up and licked his ears. "Are you okay?"
“Yeah,” he answered, his voice a little quiet as for his voice back. “That was good!” He was surprised at the force of his sister’s attack.

"Thanks," She purred happily. "I may be small, but I'm fast and definitely not weak." She nudged him lightly, her whiskers twitching in amusement.
 
“I never said you were.” He nudged her back and looked up at Rainbird happily.
Rainbird purred. "You both show the makings of fine warriors. I hope that I get the honor of mentoring one of you. You both fight very well." She mewed honestly, giving them both a couple of licks across the ears

He purred joyfully. That was a big compliment!
