*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

"Sure," He nodded. "All day of hunting, and that's all I got." He mewed under his breath, glancing back at his catch. "Leaf-bare is coming too fast..."
“I know,” Lilyflight murmured, glancing at the small pile. “We’re going to need all the prey we can get this leaf-bare.” When they were inside his den, she told him about Flykit.

He listened thoughtfully. "So.. Flykit is deaf..." He mewed, processing. "I suspected something was wrong with her. I guess I'll have to give her a few tests before she can be made an apprentice, just to make sure she'll be okay in battle..." His voice trailed off as he thought about the different things he would have to do so she could be made a warrior

“That’s what I was thinking,” she admitted. “She’d be able to know the orders, but I was thinking we could show her how to feel for vibrations so she’d know if someone’s sneaking up on her.”

“It might work. I can tell Snowfrost about it soon. She probably needs some time to accept it, first, if she hasn’t already. I can’t imagine how she must be feeling.”
He nodded in agreement, feeling sympathy for the young queen. "Rosethorn, too. And I'll have to find a mentor that will be able to work with Flykit's disability... They'll need to have a lot of patience for that." He paused, thinking. "Are you up for another apprentice? Skykit will be an apprentice by the time she's ready."

(I'll have Rainbird mentor Featherkit. I don't really want to mentor my own charrie... again)

“I’d love to mentor her,” she responded happily. “She’s a bright young cat.”

(I get that)

"Great! That's one problem out of the way." He joked. "What kind of test do you think we should do before I can make her an apprentice?"
“I think we should just give her a basic lesson and see how she does. If she’s able to follow along well enough, even if it’s less than normal apprentices, which is to be expected, then we should give her further training.”
