*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“Okay,” she responded, looking up. She trusted Lilyflight. “Thank you got giving her a chance.”
"Of course. We will do everything we possibly can to give her the best chance of becoming a warrior." He promised. "We won't tell the Clan anything about Flykit for now. Not until we absolutely have to. You can go and share the news with your family now." He dismissed her

She nodded, stood up, and left to go look for Rosethorn.

"That went... well." Bramblestar mewed to Lilyflight once she had left

Rosethorn was busy chewing up a mouse for Flykit and Featherkit in the nursery
“Better than I thought it would,” Lilyflight admitted in agreement.

In a low voice, making sure the kits wouldn’t know what they were talking about, Snowfrost told Rosethorn what had happened. “They want to give her a test,” she finished, still a little angry.

He nodded, though he knew how angry she must be. "It must be tough for her..."

Rosethorn's tail lashed, but he still saw the reason behind Bramblestars actions. "He's just making sure that she will be safe as a warrior. And at least he's giving her a chance. Some cats wouldn't even let her have this chance."

She nodded. Lowering her voice, she added, “I think part of it might be guilt. I remember with.... with Starkit,” she mewed, voice trembling slightly at her lost kit’s name, “I felt like it was something I had done. Maybe Snowfrost feels that if she had tried to take better care of herself while kidnapped, Flykit wouldn’t be deaf.”

“Then why can’t we tell her she can try being an apprentice? Why do they have to take her out of camp when she’s still a kit to see if she’d do alright? We’d know how she’d do if she was just apprenticed normally!” Her tail lashed.

He lowered his head as she spoke of their lost kit, and murmured his agreement.

"She's deaf." He mewed firmly. "There's nothing we can do to change that. She is different, and we must embrace that. She will never be a normal warrior, and Bramblestar just wants to make sure she will be safe with all the normal warrior duties, like patrols and battles." His neck fur rose slightly as he defended his leader. He felt bad for putting it so bluntly, but she needed to realize the truth

Snowfrost hissed and sat down. She knew it was true, but hearing it made her feel worse. Featherkit flinched as he heard her hissed, and she immediately regretted it. “It’s alright,” she murmured, and he relaxed. But as he looked away, her fur prickled along her spine.
