Lilyflight laughed too, though cut herself off with a slight hiss of pain. "And if she were here now, she'd probably insist on redressing my wound, and maybe checking for infection or something like that. Whatever she thought was best..."

Bramblefall heard her hiss, and he got up to fetch another poppy seed. He gave her it and said mocking Rainpaw's voice "This will reduce pain, but not a big enough dose to make you sleepy." Then he put the seed beside her and laid down again.

Whiskers twitching, she bent down and licked it up, sighing as the pain ebbed.
