“How do we hint at it? I think Flamefrost tried asking Floodpaw the other day if she wanted to be something other than a warrior, like a medicine cat, and Floodpaw hated the idea.”

“I don’t mean to be the downer off everyone’s ideas,” Snowpaw meowed apologetically, “but I think then she’d ask why and complain that she’d mess everything up anyway.”

Hazelkit mewed "StarClan told me that before she becomes a medicine cat, she will watch another cat die from this sickness, and that will be the main thing that will inspire her to become a medicine cat."

Snowpaw looked at her paws and sighed. “Is the sickness going to spread to any other Clan? And what is this sickness’s name? Or does it have no name? Is it like the deadly sickness ShadowClan sometimes gets from carrion?” She struggled to slow her voice so her words were audible.

"As long as we're careful, the sickness won't spread to the other Clans. We'll have to close our borders for that. The sickness is called Fire Pelt, because it makes it feel as if your pelt is on fire."
