Snowfrost continued to groom her kits, purring.

Featherkit eventually drifted off.
“It’s hard to believe I was ever this small,” Snowfrost commented with a shake of her head. “But I suppose you two remember when I was, don’t you?” She lifted her head towards Redfrond and Sunstrike again.

Sunstrike purred amusedly. "You can go out and play with your sister in the clearing if you want." She mewed

Hazelkit happily trotted out of the nursery, tail high

Aspenkit scampered after her.

“It’s weird how fast time goes by,” she continued. “Before I know it, these two will be warriors. Or medicine cats,” she added. “I’ll be proud of them no matter what.”

Sunstrike purred. "Mine are almost 6 moons, but I don't want to say anything to Bramblestar right now because of all the stress he's under."
 
She nodded. "I can't wait to go back to fighting for my Clan, but I am going to miss spending all my time with them." Her eyes shone with sadness. "They're all I have left of Bluetail besides for memories."
Aspenkit pressed against his mother.

“Memories are stronger than you think,” Snowfrost said softly. “As long as you hold someone in your heart, they’ll never be gone. There’s something to be said for that, isn’t there?”

Sunstrike blinked in surprise at her kit. "I thought you had already gone out with your sister." She purred, then turned back to Snowfrost. "Yes, that is true."
