His tail lashed in slight anger. "ThunderClan has become weak. I'm not sure what happened, but we were once a formidable Clan, but now. I don't even think we'd be able to beat WindClan in a battle. The cats have become lazy and too passive. We're not as strong as we should be, so this is happening to make the Clan wake up and become the Clan that we once were."

I thought you fought for peace when you were leader. But now it’s your fault that my daughter is deaf.” She choked on the last words, feeling tears come to her eyes. In that moment, she didn’t care who it was she was speaking like this too. All she cared about was her son and daughter.

"I know what you're thinking. You think because you were weak and everything when you had them, that she was born deaf. That's not the case. Even if you were strong and healthy, she still would have been deaf. Flykit and Skykit have a very special path in their future. They're going to save ThunderClan. Yes, I fought for peace when I was leader. But we were strong then. We could win battles easily and make the other Clans listen to reason. They respected us. Now? I don't think we have that power anymore. When I was keeping an eye on RiverClan today, the mothers were telling their kits about how soft we were. Is that how you want the other Clans to see you? Soft, weak, and an easy target to steal territory from?"
