“Okay,” Frosty agreed. He looked around. Maybe this isn’t such a bad place to stay after all...
"That's the leader's den, where that crowd of cats is," She paused, slightly confused, but didn't think anything of it. "This is the apprentice's den," She gestured to the den behind her. "The nursery is in that bramble patch, the warrior's den is next to it, the medicine den is in that rocky area, and the elder's den in that fern." She gestured to each place in turn with her tail.

“What’s an apprentice?” Frosty asked.

"It's basically a warrior in training. Our mentors, which are experienced warriors, teach us how to hunt, fight, and do anything our Clan needs us to do. We become apprentices when we're 6 moons, and become warriors at 12 moons if we pass our assessments."
Frosty nodded like he totally knew what she was talking about. “Hey, where’d all your friends go?” He wondered, referring to the other apprentices.

She shrugged. "Probably training, hunting, or taking care of the Elders."

At that moment. Skypaw walked up to her along with Lionpaw. "Or they're right here." She quickly corrected herself, then studied them closely. They had tear-stains in their fur and grief in their eyes. "Hey, are you okay?" She whispered. Neither of them spoke and instead just pushed past her into the apprentices den

“What’s going on?” Frosty asked, shocked to see them like this so suddenly. He turned to Hazelpaw, a confused look on his face.

Brackenpaw cast her a sorrowful look on his way inside.

"I... I don't know." She mewed distractedly, then suddenly it dawned on her. This is how cats acted when a loved one was about to pass. Bramblestar was dying. That would explain the crowd. She shrugged it off. Right now was not the time for the Clan to know, only family. She quickly reached far back into her memories to remember how to make everything seem fine when things weren't. She quickly shrugged it off. "I'm sure we'll find out eventually. For now, I'll show you around the forest." She mewed, walking through the thorn-tunnel
