*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Brackenpaw pressed against his family and cried.

Lilyflight did her best to comfort both of them, but how could she when she was just as distraught?

Snowfrost bowed her head sadly.
Sunstrike joined them, bowing her head in grief briefly before taking charge. "Lilyflight, we need to take him to the center of camp. I know it's hard right now, but the rest of the Clan needs to grieve with you." She spoke gently, blocking out her own grief for the time being to help her closest friend.

She looked up, her eyes wide and full of pain. “In a moment,” she whispered, slowly turning to look back down. It felt as if all the air had left the room. Had left the world. And it would never return.

Lilyflight and Brackenpaw helped to carry him to the middle of the clearing, where they gently set him down.
One by one, cats filed out of the dens and took their places beside his body, bowing their heads in grief. Owlherb sat near Lilyflight, her nose buried in her fur as a sign of comfort. Owlherb knew she would need to drag Lilyflight away soon to go to Mouthermouth, but it would be cruel to do so this early. She checked the light, the sun was just beginning to set. She whispered to Floodlight to prepare traveling herbs and a few for grief for Lilyflight and her kits

“I’ll have them ready for tomorrow,” Floodlight whispered, leaving to prepare them.

The vigil began, and Lilyflight sat with her shoulders hunched and her nose pressed into her mate’s fur. She would remain, unmoving, for the whole night.

Brackenpaw sat next to her, head and tail drooping.
