*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Rosesky heard Nightbird behind her. She stopped for a minute and let Nightbird catch up to her. She hesitated, then said “I-I’m sorry. You are a great patrol leader and I’ve been kinda-well, kinda the worst. I’m sorry for being like that. If you tell me to, I will leave Blackblood to-to kill the kit.”
Blackblood had caught up to the kit and jumped on its back. Due to how small it was, he was easily able to pin it down and wait for Nightbird to give the order to give a killing bite.

Owlherb looked up at the setting sun and sighed. She stood and grabbed the traveling herbs and a few for grief before returning. "Eat up, it's a long walk."
Nightbird looked around at the scene before her; Blackblood poised over the fox kit while Rosesky stared at her expectantly. Her tail twitched rapidly in indecision. The fox kit was helpless, and some part of her felt that it was wrong to kill it. But, it could grow up and endanger more cats. Killing the foxes wasn’t the priority, the priority was to chase them out. But there wasn’t really a reason not to...
“Do it.” Nightbird growled. She turned and stalked away. She didn’t take any joy from its death. Nightbird found a good fight exhilarating, but killing something helpless was something she only considered when deemed necessary.

He noddee and swiftly sunk his teeth in its neck until he tasted blood. He jumped off the kit and walked away, not looking back while it writhed.

Rosesky winced, but followed Nightbird back to the rest of the patrol.

Silverdew nodded. She still couldn’t help but worry. “Thank you, Floodlight. Do-is my leg-*gulp* infected?”
“Of course not,” she responded patiently. “There hasn’t been nearly enough time for that. And the oak leaves should help prevent infection from coming at all. If there’s any redness or swelling, come see me or Owlherb immediately.”

Silverdew sighed in relief. She had thought it would be too early, but wanted to be sure. “Okay. Thanks again!”

Owlherb stood, having finished her herbs. "Time to go, Lilyflight." She mewed gently
Lilyflight glanced up and sighed. She dragged herself to her paws, and, head still down, slowly crossed the clearing to speak to Sunstrike and ask her to be in charge of the camp while she was gone. “I’ve got to go to Highstones,” she murmured. “I- I have to be ready.”
