Sorry I keep adding as I re-read your post.  Cleaning pens and brooders with a 10% bleach solution will suffice to kill bacteria, coccidiosis, etc.

Yeah thats what I do. Just be sure to only dip the eggs and not let them sit or soak in the bleach water, then rinse them well.
