I think what Lizzy is saying is that if you have a hen that might go broody (you can test with a pile of fake eggs), you can get a smaller amount of fertilized eggs locally and have your hen hatch and raise.

Yeah, it’s that I can’t to that breed that isn’t a minimum 10-15 chock requirement that’s the issue I’m having. Since we don’t have an incubator, nor need that many, it’s hard

Ideal Hatchery only charges a handling fee of $7.The minimum dollar value for an order is $30 in poultry(no shipping)

I ordered 10 last year from a different hatchery last year (horrible experience )I sold the 4 of the chicks a couple days after they arrived since I only wanted 6 chicks.
