Ruskin Roost is raising Quail for the first time!

Hello my name is Michelle, and I live on a 1/4 acre lot in Ruskin, British Columbia. I just finished hatching 9 of 12 Coturnix Quail (today) and am excited to be a part of this community! I have one adopted rabbit, Murphy, and live with my partner. I am a schoolteacher and am raising the quail in part as an educational endeavour for my grade twos, and also because I love animals and will gather and eat their eggs.

Thank you! I feel very welcome and I am sure I will learn a wealth of information! I am currently seeking help re: a hatched quail that is struggling, and I am looking forward to seeing if anyone has advice on the post I made!

They are great! I have been waiting for years to be in the “right situation” to raise them. How many do you have? I have nine new hatchlings but the last one is struggling
