Russian Orloff Pullet holding out on us

Hi! I have a 37 week old Russian Orloff pullet who is holding out on us & will not lay an egg (lol).

She had a pretty severe inner ear infection around 15-20ish weeks, and was on sulfamethoxazole for 2 weeks or so. Any word on if that can prevent laying or severely delay it? she’s healthy and just fine... just a free loader and needs to pay her rent 😂

Just MHO see hates that scarf. IDK. Every bird has their own agenda. And it's not usually ours. Try the scarf thingy first. JK. LOL.
 
Sulfamethoxazole will have a suppressive effect on the thyroid peroxidase and depending on the duration of treatment it can take up to 3 month until the hormonal synthesis will normalize.

So this might well be the reason for her hormonally retarded condition. Add wintertime and little light = no eggs.

SUPER thorough answer!! thank you SO much!! i just wish she would catch a clue from her flock mates... lucky for us nobody seems to notice it’s winter here in TX 🤣
