So UR hens R not laying at all > R they typically bad layers ? or just slow getting started ? Thats bad news about all those chicks dieing, how aweful. We have no Hateries here in NH , at least I haven't found them online. Thanks for the heads up

Well- my older ones are only about 4 months old. If they don't start laying this winter.....I guess they'll just be yard candy. It's not in my "bird budget" to have any more breeder birds shipped. I'd rather put it into my lav ameraucanas. We'll see- maybe we'll get lucky!

I would like not to mail order. But will B the only way to get any. anyone here raise them & ships ? Sand hill says they ship only 25 or more. I don't have room for that many.

(this is just from my experience) . Ideal hatchery has orloffs.

Thanks for the heads up. Did U ever get a refund ? How a place like that can stay in business is beyond me.. I would like to know where to get some also. I am in Northern , NH

No, i tried to call them to get a refund but they kept putting me on hold for about an hour and then it would just hang up. I called about 5 (ish) times and got the same result every time.

I thank you very much for the heads up. and in the breeders - hatchery threads I am not reading well of them also. So glad you caught my post & saved me much grief. If I can't get the birds I want, I still have a list~ lol. There is always a list I guess

. I would like to be much more knowledgeable & may B breed 1 or 2 breeds. Not sure if I should start at my age. My horses have taken a back seat to the chicks so far this yr. My grand girls just love them
