Well, I'll be posting an auction or two for some testers soon....I want to see the roo showing a little more "interest" in the girls, first. He's crowing and acting like he might be doing that soon!

It'd be a test just to see if eggs can survive the trip to me. I am going to be sending some eggs to Alaska soon- testing out the polyfoam. If they can get something to hatch after that trip I'm buying stock in that stuff!

What do you all think about my Orloff boy? He will be a year old in April. I know his legs are white rather than the desirable yellow, but I just wondered what you all think of his quality otherwise? Lol.

His name is Rhubarb

He's a very unusual looking boy! He has a very handsome head, but other than that it seems he has a few faults according to the various standards out there. Legs should be at least a little yellow. His beard is very faint. And...his "spangling" almost looks like lacing, which I find particularly interesting!

Where did you get him?

I got him from Welp Hatchery, so I didn't expect of course amazing quality but I think he's pretty handsome

He was a little wet in the face at the moment from being in the snow (He likes to dip his face in and eat the snow), so maybe that's why his beard looks a little off. He and another one of my hens I got from Welp have white legs but his other two girls have the yellow legs that also came from Welp.

I appreciate the comments!

Anyone in or near PA that has a roo they would like to sale. Looking for one so one of my kids can show at the 4H fair in August. Eggs, babies, any place I can buy some. Checked with the one hatchery and they were sold out.
