This is my second year with ducks, we just have three female Indian runners. I cracked this egg today and noticed some slimy orange/rust colored spots inside the egg shell. I tossed the egg as there was a slight off putting smell from that spot. The yolk and white all looked normal. Any idea what this could be from? Or perhaps just a micro crack I couldn’t see and it became contaminated that way? I have noted two other duck eggs I collected recently with one beak mark on them and the shell was partially cracked through 🙄

They free range, sleep in their coop at night and we do live in a woodsy area no telling what they get into. Any info appreciated !!! Thanks! And the ducks are all appearing healthy aside from some watery poops

Also, is watery poop in ducks normal? I wasn’t sure if it’s due to how much water they intake or if their stools are suposed to formed majority of the time. It’s always seems to be green/brown in color, no blood or mucous or anything like that
